Common Problems:

When I click the Update Now button on the SurfNet app, the update option on Google Play does not always show

Answer: Please do not give us a bad rating just yet. Go to your Google Play Store app and search for SurfNet. Click it, then press back and click it again. The update button is now visible. What happened? You successfully refreshed the SurfNet app listing on Google Play.

The app keeps on loading every time I try to search or play 

Answer: Use a VPN if you have a good internet connection but still encounter buffering or slower loading times. There are several free VPN applications available on Google Play. Why use a VPN?. You can check your internet speed here.

The title or episode I clicked is saying 'Coming Soon'

Answer: This was already mentioned when you initially launched the app and it's called 'Home Tips'. Here's why if you didn't read it --> Titles are listed early, which is why it's 'Coming Soon' in the first place. They are featured early because it will soon be ready to play, not available yet (might be a new released title or just have been added by us), and you can keep track of it by adding it to your Watchlist and checking it periodically.

The video quality is not the greatest

Answer: An average person is okay with it because the streaming quality isn't too poor. The majority of movies and episodes are played in compressed high quality, which spans between 480p and 720p. We may enable HD streaming quality once the app's other features are reliable.

Some new released titles are not in it's HD quality or compressed high quality

Answer: Some newly released titles are more difficult to find, thus if the title is ready to play but not in higher quality, you may have to wait several weeks for it to become available in higher quality. Depending on the released title, the waiting time may vary. 

I'm unable to find my TV series

Answer: If your TV series has a short title you can try to add ': Season' to it after the title. For example if you are searching 'Dark' (a 2017 TV series) try to type it on SurfNet's search bar as 'Dark: Season'. If you want to find a specific season, try 'Dark: Season 1'.

I'm unable to find my Movie

Answer: It is recommended to type the whole title of the movie with appropriate symbols if they do have. Examples are: 'Avengers: Endgame' 'The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It' 'Godzilla Vs. Kong'. Additionally, it is recommended to add the year the movie was released If you can't find it. Examples are: 'The Misfits 2021' 'The Unholy (2021)'.
